comparable和comparative的区别

侧重点不同：comparable表示可比性，comparative强调相对性。比较事物数量不同：comparable“可比较的”、“比得上的”，表示两者在某一点或几点上有相似之处，可以进行比较的。具体词性不同：comparable是形容词，意为“类似的；同等的”。comparative即是形容词，也是名词。作形容词时意为“比较的；相当的”，作名词时意为“比较级；对手”。

例句：The Antarctic is comparable to space：It's extremely cold down there and you spend a lot of time indoors。南极洲和太空有一定的可比性：那里千里冰封、万里雪飘，人们大部时间都躲在室内。

This is the largest such deficit since comparable records began in 1998。这是自1998年以来可比数据中逆差最大的一次。

△另一意思是“相对的”、“比较而言的”，相当于 relative 的用法。

comparable的用法

comparable的意思是“类似的,同类的,相当的”,指在某一点或某几点上相似,从而具有可比较性。

The achievements of an athlete and a writer are not comparable.

The sets of figures are not comparable.

这几组数字是不可比的。

Your achievements are comparable with his.

comparative的用法

comparative作形容词时意为“比较的；相当的”，作名词时意为“比较级；对手”，强调相对性。比较事物数量不同。

Let's make a comparative study of the two languages.

让我们将这两种语言作一下比较研究。

After many hardships, he now lives in comparative ease.

经过许多困难之后,他现在的生活相当舒适。

To illustrate my point I have done a comparative analysis.

comparable,comparative 有什么区别？

主要看后缀，-ble表有某某能力的，-ive表有某某性质的。

这样去理解这两个词，comparable表示有能力去与前一事物去比较的，而comparative表示与前一事物相对而言，前者意为 类似的，后者意为 相比较而言(或者说相对的)，按这个意思说，comparable用来强调两者联系，comparative来强调两者之间的不同点。

我这么说并无客观依据，纯属个人理解，不一定正确，只是想说学英语要从词根开始学起。
