中山大学历史系副教授。1984年毕业于中山大学外语系，获英语语言文学学士学位，1987年在中山大学东南亚研究所获世界史东南亚史专业硕士学位，1998年在中山大学历史系获专门史中美关系史博士学位，一直从事世界现代史、国际关系史和东南亚史的教学与研究，曾在美国、澳大利亚和东南亚国家进行访学和课题研究。

近年的主要论著包括：

1、试析美国极端保守思想对中美关系的影响，载任晓、沈丁立（主编）：《保守主义理念与美国外交政策》，上海三联书店2003年9月版；
2、 China Eyes US-Taiwan Relations: Perception Gap between China and US,in Ho Khai Leong and Hou Kok Chung (eds.),Ensuring Interests: Dynamics of China-Taiwan Relations and Southeast Asia (Malaysia: University of Malaya,2006)；
3、Indonesia’s Perceptions of China and U.S. Roles in East Asian Security after the Cold War,中山大学国际关系学系：《亚太评论》，2006年第1-2期；
4、约翰逊政府与美国的越南战争困境，1967-1968，暨南大学东南亚研究所：《东南亚研究》，2007年第6期；
