在考研英语语法里并没有一个叫做长难句的结构，只有简单句、并列句和复合句这样的划分方式，所谓的长难句只是我们基于个人的能力和感受得出的说法。其次，长难句难道真的不可战胜吗?不是的，接下来，我将通过一个非常典型的长难句给大家展示一下应对方法。简单来说，就是明确主干成分，识别修饰成分。

一、寻标志，断长句，守原则;

首先把这个长句子按照断句标志标点-连词-短语的顺序，断成符合长度适中/结构完整的5-10词左右部分;然后梳理断句后的每个部分主干---修饰结构;其次按照分析后的修饰结构进行合理调整，确定语意;完成基本前面三步后，最后依照逻辑，表达通顺。

第一步：寻标志，断长句，守原则

按照标点符号—从属连词—并列连词—短语的标志顺序，结合长度适中及语法完整原则，我们把句子划分为This alone demonstrates that the television business is not an easy world to survive in,/ / a fact underlined by statistics that show / that out of eighty European television networks no less than 50% took a loss in 1989.

第二步：除修饰，找核心，抓主干

对三个部分分别进行结构梳理：
