词性不同。rain是名词和动词， rainy是形容词。如： it rains（动词） a lot at this time of the year.There is plenty of rain（名词） at this time of the year. It is quite rainy（形容词） at this time of the year.三句话意思相同，都表示这个时候雨量充沛。但词性不同，用法就不同。
